Mark: HDR test.

I have been out again with the camera this evening to test a photographic technique called HDR (High Dynamic Range). In a nutshell, you stick your camera on a tripod and take three photos of the same thing, except one photo shows up all of the really light things in the picture (like the sun in these examples), there's a photo which shows all the dark stuff (in these examples, the trees) and there's a 'middling' photo which shows all of the mid-tones. You then load all three images onto the computer and merge them into one. If it's done ham-fistedly, the results can look shocking. Here, I've tried to make the colours look as natural as possible.

These were all taken from the top of Mill Hill near Stathern in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir.
