I think there are a few things that are slightly out of balance with this:
1) The colour (especially on the sky) needs a little more saturation, and perhaps another filter to graduate it slightly.
2) There are no leading lines. The crop is too tight: we could do with seeing a little more of the 'bottom' of the buildings.
3) The gherkin is an iconic landmark and is stuck right at the end of the photo... I would have made a little more of a feature out of it. I appreciate that you might not have enough extra 'space' at the end to make it more central.
Yeah I knew that something wasn't quite right, maybe it was a bad choice in the first place as the buildings are obscured by a bridge (with a bus on it).
Just had a look through some of the other shots and they all have a the bridge in exactly the wrong place. Maybe I'll just have to cut my losses on this one.
Cheers for the feedback, that's exactly the kind of tips I was hoping to pick up when I joined the geeks.
Oh and the Gherkin is on the very edge, maybe I should try and capture the skyline from the bridge in the original photo next time there is a visit to London.

Not 100% sure about the editing of this one, the RAW file is available for anybody that would like to have a play around.
