Mark: A couple from Turin.

This is a view from the observation platform at the top of the Mole Antonelliana. It is named for the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli.

The Mole (pronounced mo-lay, literally: "size") is a building of monumental proportions. Construction began in 1863 and was completed 26 years later after the architect's death. Today it houses the National Museum of Cinema, and it is believed to be the tallest museum in the world.

In addition to a bustling town centre, Torino is surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains.

This stunning vista was a few minutes walk from our hotel, and these huge farm houses and barns can be found scattered over the landscape.
